Whilst we can reconform vintage silk top hats, to reshape them to your head to make them more comfortable, unfortunately we cannot make them larger. The outer silk plush that gives the hat a beautiful sheen, is no longer in general production. It was last known to be produced in the late 1970ies. But we have a limited stock of Vintage silk plush still on a roll! so can discuss, using Vintage or Modern other plush fabrics in repairs.
Typically, though with minor crown edge ("square") wear/damage to a hat's plush we can darken-down the offending area with traditional and new techniques, to disguise the wear on the edge of hat, so one's eye is taken to the overall polished sheen, not the missing plush - Good old Hatter's Magic! #HatterMagic the art of distraction.
Re-Blocking if needed, involves the ironing of the hat to attempt to remove dents and creases. Like with any damaged item, it can be light or extensive. We can give you an better estimate when we see a hat as to if we are willing to proceed.

Parts of a Top Hat
Crown - Cylindrical Main Body of a Top Hat, consisting ot Side crown amd Tip crown
Tip - Top flat part of the crown
Square - The corner outer edge of the Tip of the Crown
Brim - Surrounds the base of Cylindrical Crown
Brim Binding- Ribbon bound around outer edge of Brim
Hatband - Fabric around base of Crown, above the Brim, used to hide join between crown and brim. Usually two types, either a felt (mourning) band, or a grosgrain style ribbon, the grosgran ribbon style is often finished with a bow
Merino - Fabric cloth underside of Brim (of a Silk Plush Top Hat) usually of suit merino wool cloth
Sweatband - Inside of Hat to provide comfort to wearer, traditionally of leather but other materials can be used including a "silk slip" that can be thinner than some leathers to provide more room.
Lining - Inside liner of sides and tip of a Hat
Tip Logo - The hatter's/maker's mark usually printed on Tip of Liner
Shell - The core structure of Top Hat and supporting it's shape. For Silk Plush toppers usually a Gossamer Shell (made of Calico and Schellac), or for a Felt Top Hat it is one combined body of solid felt. Though other materials can be used
Silk Plush - The outer long napped silk fabric that give a hat a high lustre and sheen, traditionally made of silk woven onto cotton back, the first Silk Plush toppers were made to imitate Beaver Felt toppers
Felt - Probably the oldest form of toppers were made of felt, typically of wool felt, or fur felt such as rabbit, or beaver, but other stuff can also be used, there was even an old name for toppers called a "Stuff Hat"
Melusine - A Fur Felt, with a long nap that imitates the appearance of Silk Plush
